Diezani Alison-Madueke 58houses to be forfeited to FG

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the temporary forfeiture of 58 houses linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The houses, located in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt, were said to have been acquired by the ex-minister between 2011 and 2013 using front companies.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission claimed that Diezani paid $21,982,224 for the properties, adding that it believed that the funds were proceeds of crime.

The properties includes:

1.  Lagos Banana Island property valued at $37.5M
2.  Lagos apartments at No.135 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi valued N800m
3.  Bayelsa apartments valued at N100m
4.  Abuja Mabushi mini estate valued at N650m.
5.  Aso Drive, Maitama, Abuja 6-bedroom en-suite apartment valued at N80m
6.   Lagos 21 mixed housing units No. 7 Thurnburn Street, Yaba value not given
7.   Property at Raymond Street,Yaba valued at N1 billion
8.   A twin four-bedroom duplex in Lekki Phase 1 valued over N200million
9.   Landed property at Oniru, Lekki Peninsula valued at N135million
10. Penthouse on the 11th Floor of Plot 8, Gerard Road Ikoyi, Lagos valued at N12million
11. Property at Plot 10, Frederick Chiluba Close in Asokoro district of Abuja valued at N400m
12. Port Harcourt, Heritage Court Estate, located on Plot 2C, Omerelu Street, Diobu Government Residential Area, Phase 1 Extension, Port Harcourt. valued at N900m

These and many more is to be forfeited .
