Ifeanyi Uba ready to take PDP Anambra state to court over primaries

A fresh crisis might be brewing in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the Anambra state governorship primary which upheld Oseloka Obazee as the candidate for the party and the dissolution of the party’s Anambra executive committee by the national caretaker committee of the party.

The business mogul also reacted to allegations that he was involved in anti-party activities, which led to his loss at the party's governorship primaries, and promised to mobilize support for the PDP ahead of the November 17 governorship election.

The appeal of the primaries was heard on Tuesday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja by NCC panel chaired by the NCC chairman, Ahmed Makarfi.

The national caretaker committee is said to have dissolved the elected Ken Emekayi-led Anambra exco without adequate consultations with stakeholders from the state and in spite of pleas from the PDP Anambra state caucus in the house of representatives, who said this would not be in the party’s interest in the state.
