Beer and Schnapps Increases the risk of Cancer
A large-scale of study was recently undertaken in Denmark to determine the connection between the occurrence of malignant tumors in the upper digestive tract and the consumption of beer, wine and schnapps,as well as smoking .
More than 15,000 men and 13,000 women between the ages of 20 and 98 participated in the study. The surprising result is that the moderate consumption of wine does not markedly raise the risk of cancer , while the moderate consumption of beer and schnapps 7 -21 glasses per week, does raise the risk significantly .
People who drink 21 glasses of beer or schnapps, but no wine, have an even higher risk .
