Court orders interim forfeiture of Ikoyi house where $43.3 million was discovered

A Federal High Court in Lagos today ordered the interim forfeiture of Flat 7b at 16, Osborne Road Ikoyi, Lagos to the Federal Government.

That property is the one linked to the dismissed Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, where the EFCC recovered 43 million in dollars, 27 thousand euros
and more than 23 million naira in April.

Justice Saliu Saidu gave the forfeiture order this Thursday following an ex parte application brought by the EFCC.

In the application, the anti-graft agency told Justice Saidu that the funds used to acquire the property belongs to the Federal Government but was fraudulently converted to the use of one Chobe Ventures which was used to acquire the property.
