Boko Haram this morning attacked a mosque Mubi in Adamawa State as worshipers were gathering for the "fajr" dawn prayer around 5:20 a.m. local time, Othman Abubakar, a police spokesman said. The bomber was about 17 years old, Abubakar added. Many more people were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. So far no-one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Over the past eight years, northern Nigeria has suffered hundreds of deadly attacks in mosques, schools, markets and churches, carried out by the jihadist group Boko Haram. As many as 200,000 people are believed to have died in the carnage, according to western aid agencies.

Legendary Actress and Singer, Della Reese, 86, is dead. Reese, who turned television star, passed away Sunday night at her California home. The Lagos State Police commisioner,  Edgal Imohimi  at a press briefing today declared  Burna  Boy  wanted and publicly called on him to report to the Police Station for questioning in connection with the robbery attack of fellow singer, Mr 2kay at Eko Hotel. According to the Police commissioner, ‘4 armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends who is identified as ‘Matejero’ which led to the capture of the others. During interrogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock who was arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State’. The CP went on to say that ‘they confessed to receiving a part payment of 50,000 naira before the job and another 50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done. The Senate at Tuesday’s plenary has approved a total of $5.5bn loan earlier requested by President Muhammadu Buhari. $2.5bn (two point five billion dollars) is to be used for financing the 2017 budget while $3bn (three billion dollars) is to be used for refinancing domestic debts. Presiding Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu after the passage said the upper chamber will continue to support all efforts by the executive to boost the economy as long as such fiscal instruments are for the betterment of the Nigerian people. The Senate promised to properly oversight all the projects that the loans are meant to support in the outgoing 2017 budget. The approval followed the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts whose Chairman, Senator Shehu Sani asked that the loan be approved as they are in line with the borrowing plan of the 2017 Appropriation act.

President Muhammadu Buhari has supported Kaduna state government in its plan to sack 21,800 teachers. At a ministerial summit  on education, Buhari said it’s a very serious situation when teachers cannot pass the exams they’re supposed to teach. A Federal High Court in Lagos today ordered the interim forfeiture of Flat 7b at 16, Osborne Road Ikoyi, Lagos to the Federal Government. That property is the one linked to the dismissed Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, where the EFCC recovered 43 million in dollars, 27 thousand euros and more than 23 million naira in April. Justice Saliu Saidu gave the forfeiture order this Thursday following an ex parte application brought by the EFCC. Footage of the incident A teenager has been stabbed multiple times during a fight at a fast food restaurant in east London. The Metropolitan Police said two suspects got into a fight with the 18-year-old victim at Mahins Pizza Peri Peri Grill, Newham, before one took out a knife. The teenager was stabbed three times as he tried to get behind the front counter and escape from his attackers. Police and paramedics were called to the scene at about 8pm on Friday October 6 and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment. He was later discharged. Police are now looking to trace the suspects and have released shocking CCTV footage of the incident.

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, has confirmed that, four gunmen have been said to abducted Mrs. Elizabeth, mother of the National chairman of Labour Party, Mike Omotosho, on Sunday 5th of November 2017. Dr Mike who confirmed the kidnap of the 71-year-old woman to journalists on Monday, said she was abducted at her No 23, Lobalade Street, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, residence between 7pm and 8pm on Sunday. Mike said the Police headquarters in Abuja and Kwara State had been contacted on the abduction. He appealed to members of the public with useful information that could lead to the rescue of his mother to contact the law enforcement agencies. Mike’s sister, Titilayo, told journalists she was not at home when the gunmen abducted her mother. The Acting Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Yaba Police Division of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr.Aminu Mustapha, died on Monday in an auto crash. Mustapha was said to have lost his life in the motor accident at the Omifon end of the Ondo-Ore Expressway, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday. It was gathered that the officer was travelling to visit his family when the accident occurred. Sources said his son, who was also in the Toyota Camry in which the deceased was travelling, survived with injuries. A source said, “The accident occurred at about 7pm on Sunday. The DPO‘s car somersaulted and he died instantly.  The son, however, survived the accident with injuries.” The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, said Musapha’s death was a great loss to the command. He said, “The news of officer Mustapha’s death came as a rude shock; we will greatly miss him in this command.” The police spokesman a
