Monkey pox now in Akwa Ibom


One case of Monkeypox has now been confirmed in Akwa Ibom State.

Commissioner for Information, Charles Udoh, says the state government is also investigating two more suspected cases.

Udoh urged residents to avoid excessive handshake, and wash their hands regularly.

At least 13 others are suspected to have been affected by the viral disease and have been admitted to hospitals in neighbouring Bayelsa and Rivers states.
