The Acting Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Yaba Police Division of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr.Aminu Mustapha, died on Monday in an auto crash. Mustapha was said to have lost his life in the motor accident at the Omifon end of the Ondo-Ore Expressway, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday. It was gathered that the officer was travelling to visit his family when the accident occurred. Sources said his son, who was also in the Toyota Camry in which the deceased was travelling, survived with injuries. A source said, “The accident occurred at about 7pm on Sunday. The DPO‘s car somersaulted and he died instantly.  The son, however, survived the accident with injuries.” The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, said Musapha’s death was a great loss to the command. Former Nigeria player, Michael Emenalo has resigned from his position as Chelsea technical director, the club has confirmed. The 52-year-old, one of owner Roman Abramovich's most trusted advisors, has left Chelsea after 10 years working across the scouting and technical departments amid reports of tensions between head coach Antonio Conte and the club's hierarchy. In a statement on Chelsea's official website, Emenalo said: "This has been a very difficult decision to make, but one I believe is right for both myself and my family, and the club. "I have had the privilege to work alongside some of the most talented people in the world of sport over the past 10 years, and I will depart incredibly proud of the achievements we have made.  I wish Chelsea every success and look forward to following the club's future triumphs from afar."

A Saudi Arabian prince and some other government officials have died in an air crash in Saudi Arabia near the Yemen border. According to the kingdom’s al-Ekhbariya news channel, the deputy governor of the Asir province Prince Mansour bin Muqrin was killed in the crash on Sunday alongside other senior regional government officials. According to reports all 8 people on board, including number of other government officials, perished in the crash. Muqrin formerly worked as an advisor at the court of the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. Bin Muqrin was the son of Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, a former intelligence service director and a onetime crown prince of the kingdom. Prince Muqrin was removed as crown prince in April 2015 by his half-brother King Salman in favor of Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, a counterterrorism czar and interior minister.
