Fake Doctor Arrested In Lagos

Lagos State Police Command has warned Lagosians to be careful where they go for medical attention. The advise came following the arrest of a fake Medical Practitioner, Abdulrahman Mohammed, who has allegedly practised medicine for over four years in the Mushin area of the state. Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal who paraded the suspect, noted that he was arrested by operatives from the Area 'D' Command Mushin. He said the 39- year old suspect who hails from Ran village in Gambaru Ngala, Local Government Area of Bornu State, was operating as a medical Doctor at number 3, Bemisniele Street, Idi-Araba before he was arrested following a tip-off. He said the suspect claimed that he stopped at primary school level but has no certificate to show that he really attended primary school. She spoke during a thanksgiving service organised to mark her 50th birthday at the Chapel of Praise International Church, Yola on Sunday. Binta, who broke down in tears during the service, said God made it possible for her to become a cornerstone after the deprivation and rejection she suffered after accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She said, “I gave my life to Christ when I was in primary school. My father was infuriated and he burnt everything I had because of my decision to follow Christ. I suffered so much because of the name of Jesus. I would have been nothing if not for His grace. The rejected child, because of my faith, has become a cornerstone. Four Police Killed in Benue

Four police officers were killed and about 11 others are still missing after some gunmen, on Sunday, laid an ambush on police officers in Benue State. The attack occurred when the police officers were on a patrol from Anyibe to Ayilamo in Logo Local Government Area of the state. One of the residents confirmed to Channels Television that the attack took place around 6:00 pm. One police vehicle was reportedly set ablaze, while some houses were also burned down during the attack. The Police in Benue State in a statement on Monday confirmed the attack, promising to apprehend the gunmen. “Sadly, at the moment, four casualties have been suffered by the Police. “Additional reinforcement (including the Air Asset of the Police) deployed by the Inspector General of Police is in pursuit of the murderous gang. 84 People lost and N12.8 billion properties

Gas station on Fire The Lagos State Government on Monday disclosed that the state lost 84 people and N12.8 billion worth of properties to fire in the last one year. The government added that the state was able to save properties worth N76.9 billion from being destroyed by fire in 980 fire calls recorded in the state between May 2017 and April 2018. Speaking at a ministerial news conference in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Relations, Mr Oluseye Oladejo, also disclosed that the fire service received 1,282 emergency calls, of which 980 were fire calls. Oladejo said 333 victims were rescued while the agency recorded 202 rescue calls and 83 false calls, adding that 84 people were recovered dead. The commissioner stated that despite the sizeable number of incidents recorded, the state government was able to respond promptly to emergencies thereby saving lots of lives and properties.

President Donald Trump's senior counselor, Kellyanne Conway, slammed former FBI Director James Comey as a publicity hound who is trying to promote his new book. "The president is very confounded that this person is always able to divert the spotlight to him," Conway said told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on the morning after his exclusive interview with Comey.
